It’s been a while since our update but the uptide/ downtide season is well underway.
The winter season so far has been blighted by the weather severely limiting our days at sea. When we have got out the fishing has been really good with some trips seeing 100 plus codlings coming over the rails upto 9lb 10oz and a cracking stamp of 5lb fish, with the usual unwashed squid and black lug baits doing the damage on the pennel rigs. We have plenty of availability in the run upto Christmas and into the new year and with our winter prices been very low over this period and with great catch rates you don’t want to miss out. The 2020 diary is now also open for wreck ,reef and ground , species and tailor made trips to suit everybody’s needs. For more info or to book a trip contact barry on

We would also just like to wish all our customers old and new a very merry Christmas and all the best for 2020.
    Tight lines for now.

Well the lads absolutely smashed it today boating well over 100 cod to 8lb with a cracking stamp of fish around 3lb to 4lb. All fish fell to unwashed squid and blacks on the pennel rigs. Our Dan also came along to crew for the day and ended up with over 30 for himself with regular Dave Jenkins not far behind with just shy of 30 fish himself but he did take the fish of the day, with well over 40 good size fish returned for another days sport. The weather isn’t great for the coming week but we are still taking bookings for our winter uptide/downtide fishing. We have plenty of midweek availability and limited weekend availability throughout November and individual space bookings are welcome. For more info or to book call Barry 07470354403

The uprising is in full swing now and we have been mega busy with trips with a fairly mild October so far allowing us a fair few days at sea. We have seen Over 100 codlings boated on several days so far and some crackers to boot up to the 7lb mark. We have also had some nice pollock up to 6lb with squid and black lug been the bait of choice so far. The last couple of days the weather has turned and with a big northerly blow and 10 ft seas it’s just what the ground needed and the cod should be alive once we get back out there after the stir up. We have plenty of availability both midweek and some weekends , with some great light tackle sport to be had, so if you would like a bash at the cod we really are the boat to be on for. See our calendar for availability and give us a call on 07470354403

Not done an update for several weeks now as just can't seem to get 5 mins of late. The fishing till around mid June was slow but we kept at it and picked away steady to get our anglers some fish for the table, the water clarity wasn't as clear as we had liked making it hard WORK. Also the wcsa grand summer festival is now well underway and over the last week or so the water has cleared out and the fishing has been much improved with good numbers of cod and ling coming aboard aswell as a few belters along the way. The mackerel are now showing in greater numbers with plenty of feed in the water. Ryan pantellerisco fished with us on Thursday 27th June and first drop he landed himself a cracker of a cod weighing in on the wcsa scales at 10lb, 6oz and landing him a place in the cod section of the competition which still has to the 14th July to hang on. Yesterday also saw us take first place in the daily prizes with Lee chandler weighing in with a 7lb,8oz codling winning himself the £50 daily prize. Also yesterday we fished hard inside due to the strong winds and what a day the lads had boating well over 100 codlings from 2lb to 7lb,8oz. With them also boating a large amount of mackerel. Majority of fish were caught using hokkais, shads and squid bait when water clarity was coloured. Sadly we haven't as yet managed to get on the overall prize board as yet but with still just under 2 weeks to run in the festival there's time yet. We have limited spaces left in the festival so if you would like to get booked on check out the dates on our calender.
We are also still taking bookings for our 2hr and 3hr summer mackerel and cod trips throughout the school summer holidays, these trips are ideal for family's and beginners.

With the school holidays, this past week we have been flat out on the 3hr taster trips, running twice daily the majority of the week. These trips are designed to get the kids out on the water fishing with the majority picking up arod for the first time. This week they haven't been disappointed with the trips producing good numbers of codlings and mackerel aswell as a few other species such as whiting, coal fish and pouting. We have had cod upto 7lb on the taster trips with my lad Dan joining us for a few trips he has also been amongst the cod. The artificial lures such as shads, hokkais etc have worked a treat aswell as squid bait. Today we had a 8hr, wreck fishing trip and from the first drop it was non stop action with over 150 fish boated with a brace of cod into double figures and a great stamp of codlings around the 3lb to 6lb mark aswell as pollock to 4lb and several ling to 7lb and string fulls of mackerel throughout the day it was non stop action and cracking sport for the lads with fresh mackerel bait don't the job aswell as hokkais and shads. Dave Jenkins had over 30 fish to himself. Around 60 good size fish were kept for the table with many good size fish returned.
THE SUMMER FESTIVAL IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER WITH A MASSIVE £5000 IN CASH UP FOR GRABS AND WE HAVE SOME DATES AVAILABLE WITH GOOD TIDES.

Over the last couple of weeks we've been getting out to the wrecks when the weather has allowed and so far it's been promising with good numbers of codlings coming over the rails. We have also seen a few ling over the rails. The inshore waters are slowly warming up and with the water clearing out and in some places its been like gin it's brought on the inshore wreck fishing. We have used a mixture of artificial lures such as shads etc and also bait and all seem to be catching well. The summer festival will soon be upon us and we still have some good dates with good tides available so check put the availability calender and give us a call to secure your places. 21 Apr 2019 by Jon Whitton

The weather of late hasn't been kind with South easterly and easterly winds preventing us from getting to sea. Our last trip out in the spring festival was Sunday 21st and saw us take 1st place in the daily prizes winning Colin £50 with a 4.8lb codling. Sadly nothing big enough to get on the overall placings but considering the conditions we managed to boat a few codlings.

It's been a while since our last update and with the easterlies preventing us from getting out over the past week it's gave us chance to catch up on a few things. Our last couple of trips out we had Greg Westgate and his dad charter the whole boat for the self's for a crack at the cod and they weren't disappointed and between them had around 30 codlings taking half for the table. We also returned lots of tiddlers which is great to see. We also had brian
Naughtons group of 10 aboard and they had around 40 keepers on the day. The fishing has been steady away but with the water not been as coloured as I'd like on the uptiding grounds we had a venture out to the wrecks and picked away steady. The average stamp of codlings have been around 2lb to 4lb, with the bait of choice been unwashed squid and blacks. The spring festival is now upon us although we have yet to fish it due to the easterlies but we hope to be back at it towards the end of the week with the winds looking like there dropping off. We also have the kids off school for the Easter holidays so we also have spaces on 3 hr taster trips weather permitting.
