The last few days has seen plenty of whiting, a few codling, dogs, huss, and herring. The sandeels are inshore in the harbour so the signs are well and truely there that summer is on its way. Spaces available through the week and next weekend.

Whiting dabs dogs making up the main catch today but we also saw codling a sea scorpian and half a dozen mackerel. We did have some quiet spells but after moving around a bit the lads caught plenty. Spaces available through the week. Get in touch for any info.

The boats out of the water now until mid-March for the yearly spruce up. (Timed that well so i get to watch all the 6 nations in the pub!) Get in touch for any info on our trips. Sailing times have been done so for the best tides get in touch sooner rather than later. I look forward to seeing old and new customers on-board in the spring.

Stacks of whiting around inshore today. Plenty of keepers. A few dabs too. I have a few weekend dates available before i take the boat out of the water for a spruce up ready for the 2017 season. Get in touch if you fancy getting out.

Plenty of whiting,dabs, codling, a few herring and mackerel about. Full boat available tomorrow (saturday 17th) and individual places available sunday 18th. Both 5 hour trips. Forecast looks spot on get in touch if you fancy getting out before christmas.

Plenty of whiting everywhere today, with alot of nice dabs being landed too. Inbetween the whiting and dabs we managed a dollop of herring a few codling and a mackerel. I have spaces next weekend on 5 hour trips if anyone fancies getting out before christmas. Get in touch for info.

Great day out yesterday with Cap,n Jack.7 different species between us in 8 hours we reckon about 300 fish.The big bag split in the van (hired!) and it bloody stank of fish when it had to go back,one of the best ever,we,ll be back at Easter.Great laugh and well informed skipper. Best wishes from Andy,cag,pod and the lads from the Ellesmere Inn, Hindley,Wigan. See you again soon.

Still catching good amounts of mackerel,plenty of decent whiting have moved inshore now with the odd codling in the mix. More codling will show as we get through October and into November. Big baits are catching huss well into double figures and a good amount of pup tope. We lost a few bigger tope over the last week so they are still about. Also coming up are plenty of dabs a good amount of gurnards, dogs, pollack and a few rays.

This time of year always produces fish but can be a guessing game of species. Yesterday fishing close inshore saw plenty of mackerel and whiting with dogs huss pup tope,codling,dabs,gurnards and a run and snap off of a bigger tope. Today was similar but further offshore we saw plenty of gurnards, and black bream which was a surprise for the time of year. If you fancy a trip get in touch.
