June has fished very well. Still a very good amount of codling being caught up to 5-6lb. Big dabs, whiting, gurnards, dogs huss and thornbacks making up most of the catch. A few plaice have been mixed in with the dabs. Mackerel still being sporadic, some days there is any amount and others is a struggle to get enough for bait.

The smoothhounds are moving in now, had a few yesterday close inshore on peeler crab. The general bottom fishing is improving, still seeing good numbers of codling coming up with dabs whiting dogs gurnards and huss making up the majority of the catch. The algae has been pretty thick lately but has shown signs of clearing, when that happens the mackerel should make more of an appreance.

mackerel and gurnards showing now so summer is well en route! of late there have been alot of codling coming up notably today with around 15-20 in the 2lb to 3lb bracket with a few bigger and alot of throw backs. good signs for the summer!

The fishing is starting to pick up now with plenty of dabs whiting dogs a fair amount of small codling but a few keepers amongst them. Mackerel are starting to appear so hopefully this is a sign of summer!

The fishing at the moment is as expected for the time of year... whiting, dabs, dogs ,a few codling and a few huss. If the weather stays mild the fishing should improve towards the end of the month with the start of the summer species arriving. Fingers crossed for some settled weather!

Any amount of whiting around now with a lot of good sized ones to take home, there are some nice codling coming up too but the whiting get to the bait very quickly. Dabs dogfish and a few gurnards are also making up the general fishing. Theres plenty of bull huss up to 10lb on the bigger baits of mackerel or whiting. Lets hope the wind gives us a brake because there's good fishing to be had at the moment!

August has been fishing well, plenty of big dabs, gurnards,whiting,codling,mackerel. Wev'e had pollack,bream, ling and john dory mixed in to make a good mixed bag. We've seen the last of the smooth hounds for the season now i think. Big baits are catching huss, thornbacks and one or 2 tope. Lets just hope the weather stays kind!

The good weather is still here which is helping put us on the fish. Tope, thornback rays, smoothhound,huss,codling,gurnards,dabs,whiting,mackerel,ling all being landed over the last week. Still got spaces so feel free to get in touch!

Fishings good at the moment. mackerel, dabs,whiting,codling,gurnard,thornbacks,huss,conger ell all coming aboard today. With other boats in the area getting back into the tope. The weather looks settled for the next week or so ( fingers crossed) so make the most of it. We still have spaces so give us a call.

This month keeps improving with mackerel numbers increasing all the time. Plenty of big dabs, and whiting with codling and gurnard coming up aswell. The tope are about now and if there not taking the big baits its because the big huss are getting there first so plenty of sport to be had at the moment!
