    Cracking day out once again with this Skipper... 11 species in total incl many PB fish for our party including Huss to 12lb, Spurdogs to 14lb, few early small Tope, Ballan Wrasse, plenty of nice Pollack and Coalfish, Conger, and even a surprise Ling - thanks again Gareth!

    2014 has started well for me the 4hr conger trips on an inshore wreck 15 mins from the fish dock have been full 18 congers in 4hrs from 9lbs up to 55lbs is the best so far this year but i have had 48 congers in two trips last year up to 65lbs with dogs rays pout as well on the wreck the ray fishing on the sand has been v good as well 73 rays in two trips from 3lbs up to 12lbs i do hope the weather will be fine this year as we all need it after the last storms we have had i have my first trip off the year to the Deeps on tuesday 11th march for spurs Huss and my be a Tope ? i will upload a report on that trip . Good day in the Deeps today tuesday 11th spurs up to 16lbs Huss up to 10lbs and dogs as well .

    Fishing This Week On Spindrift Charters Was Adam Thomas From Emmerdale, Very Enjoyable Day With Adam And His Friends, Lots Of Dog Fish, Huss And Herrings Caught.

    what an excellent start to the year with an abundance of congers on a local wreck in the bay .with the first trip a 5hr night trip 26 congers up to 60lbs second night trip 23 congers up to 40lbs third trip 5 congers up to 20lbs with huss 12lbs dogs whiting and big pouting .so 54 conger caught and [ returned ] in 3 trips and countless lost on the surface which we estimate some of them over 60lb. It is difficult to give a weight on the surface with a torch at night.This picture has 3 conger caught all at the same time.

    THE HOUNDS ARE IN ON SPINDRIFT First trip in may on the smoothhounds and one off the anglers had a hard fight on his hands with this double figure specimen 15lb starry smoothhound

    It's been so long for a report {i'm not one for writing] This year so far has been good like the begining of last year the only problem being the weather .When I have been able to get out to the deeps the fishing has been brilliant spurs huss first tope of the year in march 25lb The best days fishing in the deeps was 63 spurs best ones 16lb the stacks have fished well too plenty of coal fish pollack 2-5 lb and with wrasse up to 3lb . On the mussel beds huss dogs dabs and codling I hope the cod fishing in May and June is as good as it was last year and the smooth hound fishing will soon be upon us I will try to make more effort with my reports and not leave it for so long one off the older Skippers Gareth williams

    April has started off with good fishing had a full boat on saturday sailed from the fish dock at 5.30am to go 19 miles from Holyhead my deckhand made the tea and i set the G.P.S Headed the boat on a W/SW course for 1.5 hrs and spindrift soon made 12-13 knots on a flat calm sea .when we arrived on the G.P.S mark not a boat in site for miles then the fishing was on with a Huss 12lbs first and one-two dogs but one rod on the stern bent over it was the first Tope off the year 20lbs then two spurs 10+12 lbs we had 19 Tope / spurs ?? lost count with Huss we had 4hrs fishing on this mark the tide was runing fast in the last hr but with v good anglers old hands it was no problem at all .we moved in to T Bay fished 1 hr with dogs-huss-small codling- pout went on the drift for 1 hr polack-coalfish-codling up to 3 lbs .

    Spindrift 2 March Report
    The fishing in March has been very good with Conger up to 50lb on the wrecks and Pollack up to 3-4 lb also the occational Ling .
    On the reefs fished well with Dogs Huss Codling and Rays. Last weekend was excellent on the drift with Herring and hundreds of Coalfish up to 3lb and Pollack up to 4lb .You could see the schoals of Herring on the fish finder and the coaly under them.The Gannets are also a good sign as you see them diving in the distance for the Herring .
    Spindrift is one of Holyheads fastest charter boats with a scania 400hp engine to get you further down the coast quicker also fitted for this year a new d v d system so the anglers can watch in the comfort of the wheelhouse a veriaty of Tope and Smoothhound fishing upon Spindrift.
