We have managed to get out this week to the offshore wrecks.
They have produced some double figured Pollock even though it was a big tide.
    The wrecks fished well.
Looking forward to the next calm spell to get back out to the deep water wrecks.

The weather has restricted our fishing lately, but, we have managed to get out now. We have been going out to the deep water wrecks for the Pollock. There have been a few niced Pollock coming up now that the weather has calmed down a bit.

Chalky White had a nice Pollock of 15lb 8oz. It was caught on a sidewinder lure while we were drifting over a wreck offshore.

You can also check out some more pictures on our latest news page on the website below.

Looking forward to getting back out there on the next nice day.

After being out of the water for a few weeks with one of the engines being rebuilt.

We managed to get a couple of good trips out recently. There were some good sized Congers along with Turbot, Brill still fishing well. There have also been some nice Blonde Rays showing now as well.

This picture of 'Scoop' with a cracking Lobster of over 7lb. It was caught it while Conger fishing and caught it on a Mackerel flapper.

We are now starting the inshore Cod fishing and there have been some nice sized ones showing. It just needs to get a bit colder to bring the numbers up.

We have managed to get out fishing this week, following some rubbish weather this year so far!

Just a big thank you to my anglers for their understanding of the new 'Bass Law', this week. They have been fully co-operative to returning all of the Bass to sea alive. We did catch quite a lot of Bass this week so this has meant a lot to me for their co-operation.

There has also been some good sized Pollock caught this week as well on the offshore wrecks of which at least they had something to take home! They were all good sized double figured in weight.

You can also check out 'Newhaven Ocean Warrior 3 Fishing' on Facebook for latest pictures and videos of the Bass going back.

Let's hope for some good spring weather to come and some good fishing for all!!

    Regards
    Dave

An early start allowed Dave to pilot the Ocean Warrior past the first shipping lane, the separation zone and the next shipping lane to get to the targeted wreck. As soon as we dropped three rods bent over double and each successive more and more rods hooked up to cod.

It got to the point where Dave’s positioning over the wreck meant we didn’t even hit bottom before we were into fish. Cracking day with countless cod and a few Pollack. One angler even managed a 6lb Tub Gurnard on a sidewinder lure! Brilliant trip, Dave…..thank you....

There have still been some big Pollock showing on the offshore wrecks.

Bretons SAC had a good day wrecking and had some good double figured Pollock along with a few Cods during the day.

The biggest Pollock of the day was from Steve Fuzzey from Southend, which was a cracking Pollock of 20lb 12oz. This was a new club record for Bretons SAC.

We are looking to get out next week for some more good Cod and Pollock - if the weather lets us!

Hopefully there will more Cod running through during March.

We still have spaces midweek and also the odd weekend during the year - so if you fancy booking up a trip contact David on 07966 377145 or visit www.oceanwarrior3.com for booking information.

We have been out of the water for a few weeks for general maintenance.

Glad to say we are back in the water and have managed to get in a wrecking trip. The Really Wrecked SAC had some really nice Pollock, along with a new club record! The catch went to Steve Newham from Sussex and it came out at 19lb 6oz. It was caught drifting over an offshore deep water wreck using a sidewinder lure.

On the day they also had a few more Pollock up to 14lb, along the odd Cod showing.

We are looking forward to getting back out on the water, as hoping the fishing will only get better!

Glad the start of the wrecking season has gone well and hope for much of the same or better.....
