Fishing was superb at the weekend.
Saturday we had bass to 6lb , hounds and
skate to 8lb and codling to 6lb
plus the usual dogs, whitings and pout
Sunday
We had cod to 8lb
Skate to 10lb
Hounds to 9lb
Loads of dogs and whiting plus pout and a gurnard
No bass :(
Lovely weather and lots of fish = happy -

Looks like the drop in temperature has started bringing in the winter species.
Loads of whiting are stripping fish baits meant for skate and huge numbers of dogfish have moved up river.
The better set of tides this weekend should give us a chance to look farther afield , fingers crossed the weather is kind. -

A month of superb fishing has passed since my last report, so busy and at last some better weather.
Plenty of bass now about with some enormous hounds and skate making me work hard with the net on a regular basis.
The green weed has been a nusance but if you perservere the fish are there and well worth the effort. -

Another cracking weekends fishing with plenty of double figure fish coming over the side.
Lots of lost fish where line parted due to the sheer speed and strenght of the hounds in shallow water, testing both tackle and anglers to the limits.... Brilliant -

June was a fantastic month. Hounds galore plus some lovely bass have been caught.
Mackerel are scarce so far this year but overall shaping up to be one of the best yet.
Most days we are getting 50 + hounds and plenty of very big doubles -

another fantastic weekend.
Although the weather kept us nearer home on Saturday we managed over 30 skate plus lots of whiting doggies and another gurnard
Sunday the weather was superb, fishing hampered at first by the weed but ended up with a lovely catch of hounds, skate and a run of bass. -

The weather was kind on Sunday and we got in the maplin sands to target the hounds.... Had over 30 with numerous big fish
We also had our first run of mackerel and a nice haul of bass..
Looks like another good summer is on the way -

The hounds have started with a few larger ones to hermit baits
Skate are ever present and can be caught in large numbers on herring , blueys taking larger ones.
We boated our first bass of the year on Sunday and lost a nice one on the surface on Saturday.
Summer is coming !!!
