    A quick report guys, we've had some mixed days this week before the sea came away again.

    We had a crack at the wrecks early on in the week as the tides were still small and even though we were marking fish I could see the clarity wasnt there, as is usual around this time of year. It looked a bit green and other skippers trying other marks also confirmed the dreaded may water was setting in.
    We took a few fish off the wrecks but it was hard work but we got some double shots of cod on the hokkais.

    Luckily the tides we're lifting over the following days we had trips and I knew things would get better, and they did! The next couple of days we got the anchor down resulting with much better fishing for the lads.

    I expect we'll be staying at anchor for a few more weeks until the algae clears and hopefully we'll get a good crack at the wrecks as the water clears out for the summer.

    Hi guys! Just got back off our holiday and was in need of a fishing fix!

    Had a little run off tonight for a few hours with my good friend Alex.

    We caught plenty of throw backs and kept 5. The tides were a bit small tonight but theyre on the lift this week.

    We have a few spaces on our 6-7 hour trip on tuesday as well as our full day trip on thursday.

    We will be looking to pick up our night trips again as soon as the potting lads start bringing a bit of gear back ashore.

    Hi guys time for an update! The weather has dealt us a very poor hand this week, but between our last report and this one the fishing has come on tremendously!

    Weve seen some quality fish at anchor now theres a good bit of colour inside.

    Everyone has been getting good numbers of fish each trip, with what seems like thousands of small codlings in the 36-38cm range. Legal yes but ethically we always try not keep anything under 40cm unless gut hooked. So plenty of throw backs each trip.

    Best bait as always is black lug and squid cocktail.
    We've taken our 1st batch of black lug now so Bait Packs will be available again to our anglers, which will need to be pre ordered the night before the trip.

    At the minute long range i can see only monday available weather wise, we have 2 places available still. Its £55 per person.

    Hi guys, time for a quick update before I head off for a few days fishing away with the boys.

    Over this set of springs tides we've made a start on the Uptiding for Cod. Its still a bit early, but theres some promising signs. The last two days between a few windy ones we've managed a few nice fish for the lads.

    We're taking bookings for the Uptide Festival which starts the 7th November. Spaces are starting fill up now.

    Its been a cracking couple of days on the wrecks here at Whitby.

    As the tides have eased and with settled weather, the water has cleared. Bait has caught the biggest ones with a fair few into double figures, but the lads persevering with shads got a few too.

    As the tides lift again we'll be back inshore with the anchor down to try for some early uptiding cod.

    Hi guys weekends here again!
    Its been a while since we did a report on here.

    The fishing has been very up and down, since our last post, but we continue to enjoy our days at sea making nice memories for our anglers.

    We've just finished the Autumn Festival, even though we didn't win this time we had a few daily winners through the event. Our biggest only a couple of pounds smaller than the winning fish.

    Since the last big northerly we've started dipping our toes into the uptiding, catches should start improving as the autumn feed starts to disappear and the cod get their heads down.

    Our uptiding festival starts on the 7th November and is running for 3 weeks this year.
    We're taking bookings and the weekends are filling fast.

    Ok guys, some great news!

    Following a meeting this morning, we've managed to confirm our insurance companies will cover us, we're able to confirm we're starting again next saturday (27-6-20). Just in time for the grand summer festival!.

    Currently we're limited to 5 anglers under current covid regulations, but as social distancing eases, we will be able to offer more places.

    Due to only being able to offer limited spaces our charter fees will be £60 per person for a 10 hour trip. Festival entry will be £25 for the boat.

    A gap in the weather this week has allowed to get a few days in here at Whitby. Theres still plenty of fish showing with our better days seeing around 90 codlings a day boated.

    Best bait remains Black lug and squid.

    Hi guys, well, time for an update, its been an absolutely belting week for the anglers aboard us.

    Both day and night trips have produced good numbers of fish, our anglers have been responsible returning many sized fish and keeping just a handful for the table. a few days have seen well over 100 codlings over the gunnels, each day.

    Best bait remains black lug and unwashed squid. Cart is producing well, but the bites come faster to the worm and squid.

    Hi guys, its been a cracking couple of days here at Whitby. Loads of lovely cod landed on both our day and night trips, by our anglers.

    Our next trips are planned in for
    thursday 23rd,
    day trip 730am-430pm, 6 places
    Night trip 5pm-11pm, 4 places

    Friday 24th, 730am-430pn, 3 places.

    Max 8 anglers for each trip, loads of space for everyone.
