after saturdays good catches headed back to the same spot things were a bit quieter although the weather was worse managed 7 bass to 3.5lb and loads of spotties
mon 3rd
the weather was kinder to us today as was the fishing with 13 bass to 8lb 1 thornback 5.5lb loads of spotties and smoothies a good day had by all ending, three days fishing with a total of 37 bass and three roker best fishing weve had for a while -

headed out to the mark that had produced fish on monday with a fair breeze from the north only spotties and small smoothies coming in with the breeze picking up all the time so decided to up anchor and head south to another mark of lowestoft hoping the swell would die down when the flood started wrong ! as soon as the tide started the fish the fish began biting and continued throught out until we upped anchor and came in ending up with 17 bass to 6lb 2 thornbacks loads of spotties and smoothies 2 dabs and 1 whiting making it the best days bass fishing to on Lead Us to date and a very happy crew

steamed up to a mark on a lovely sunny morning hardly a breath of wind but a very strong tide making the going slow within 5 mins of dropping the anchor jamie was into a nice thornback of 5lb 12oz with others catching the inevitable spotties then a nice bass a tadd under 4lb fell to jamies rod again, with 2 more thornbacks coming in shortly after as the tide slackened the wind picked up making things very uncomfortable and we had to run inshore to find some shelter with a few more spotties/ smoothies and a small codling rounding off the day with 4 thornbacks to 5lb 12oz , 3lb 14oz bass and numerous spoties & smoothies a small codling and 1 dab a good day had by all -

headed out on a lovely morning with a good crew onboard hoping for a repeat of mondays excellent catches, big suprise to sea a 5lb cod come in on the first cast of the day followed by an endless stream of small spotties and hounds and the odd bass thrown in. moved off to see if things were any better had a couple of better hounds one we landed about 5 to 6lb and one i lost as it was being netted in double figures as things slowed down we decided move back in again ending the day with loads of spotties a couple of nice hounds 6 bass to 3lb and 1 cod @ 5lb a good day had by all -

headed out to the 3 mile mark with a stiff westerley blowing stuck out for a little while but headed back in when it got to uncomfortable to the south holm the fish started coming in endless spoties and small hounds and as the tide eased the bass started hitting our crab baits, with a nice thornback on slack water things picked up again as the tide started lost another big ray ended the day with 12 bass to 4lb, 1 thornback @ 9.5lb, 4 nice dabs and lost count of the spotties and hounds a rough day but great fishing -

with good weather and the fish feeding two good days fishing so nice to see a bit of sunshine and feel some warmth on your back while fishing
sat 20th, 12 cod to 3.5lb plenty of whiting and a couple of dabs
sun 21st, lowestoft local boat match, 1 thornback @ 8lb 6oz, 1 smoothound @ 5lb 80z, 5 cod to 5lb,plenty of whiting,1 pout, 1 spotty and a couple of dabs seven species in all with Lead Us taking second and third place myself second with 8lb 6oz thornback and duane third with 3lb 4oz cod although we had bigger cod and hounds only one prize per person a gret weekend out on the water and a good time had by all.

with a few more cod to 4.5lb and whiting/dabs thrown in yesterday making an enjoyable day for all

another fine day out on Lead Us back upto corton again as this seems to be the only place around here there are any fish at the moment fished the last 2 hours of the flood and most of the ebb. the fishing was spasmodic ending the day with 5 cod to 3.5lb and approx a dozen whiting a lovely day to be on the water -

two trips this weekend after a month off for rudder repairs and paint up and the first break in the weather for nearly as long saw us heading upto corton again with reports of a few fish coming off the beach when weather allowed very little tide running both and not a lot of colour in the water made fishing hard sat managed 7 cod to 4lb a few whiting, 1 pouting and 1 dab the size of a dinner plate.
sun was only a 4 hour trip with approx a dozen good sized whiting and 3 codling 2 returned good to be back on the water and catching fish again

headed out to the usual mark off corton in grahams little boat as lead us is out of action at the moment due to a broken rudder (soon to be repaired) not really expecting to much as the last trip up there had been barren although it was a couple of weeks ago. with the rods out we settled down and waited and could tell the weed was collecting on the line by the way the rods were bending and just as i was about to pull one of my rods in to remove the weed bang down it went with a good solid pull and i struck into the first cod of the day and they then came steadily through the day with a few whiting as the tide eased ending the day pleasantly suprised with 14 cod to 4.5lb and a dozen or so whiting a very enjoyable day
