Saturday saw us Joined by 10 year old Jack Rowlands with his dad celebrating his birthday and trying out his new rod. After trying a few inshore wrecks for a few fish Skipper Paul Eddon decided to shoot off to some ground on the 15 mile mark What a great move that turned out to be. We were catching Cod,Ling,Pollack and coal fish in a steady supply. Young Jack had a few codling on the shad but when he put a string of hokki's on that were baited with a sliver of squid and he had a cracking bite that turned into a "Lump" on the end. After about a 15-20 min fight of steady winding Jack boated his PB with a Ling that took the boat scales around to 15lb . The fish also won Jack a Free trip next time aboard Trot On. WELL DONE JACK .
Trot On still has a few places available for the coming week so book early to avoid disappointment

Yet another great weekend aboard Trot On . With the fish still jumping aboard on the 18 mile mark. Saturday saw them mainly falling to Jiggers but Sunday Shads were the order of the day. Top Skipper Paul Eddon called it right when he stopped on one Wreck. He said "This is where the boat sweep winner will come from" 2 drifts later Martin a Trot On regular hooked into his New PB for a ling of 17lb winning the £50 boat sweep. WELL DONE Martin great fish.

England boat fishing team manager Neil Bryant was aboard today with some of his clients trying out the range of long telescopic boat rods Neil designed, And WHAT a day they had, After a 2 hour steam to Paul Eddon's chosen wreck we were into the fish from the drop. All 7 rods were bent into fish. All cod between the 4lb and 8lb bracket. This continued with every drift. We filled 3x8st boxes in 90 mins. Neil decided his chaps had enough to take home and all other fish were to be returned. we must have caught at least another 100+ fish between 6 anglers in the remaining time we had on the wreck. After lunch Neil wanted to try for Pollack fishing jelly worms, Unfortunately most of the time we could not get through the cod but we did have some pollack to about 4lb . One of the lads Kev brought a 4ft Ice fishing rod that was super fun especially when I put a trace of hokki's on and had a treble hook up of cod all around the 5lb mark Neil had a go with the little rod and this proved to be a laugh and a half. If you fancy a trip out of Whitby then Trot On is the boat to get

Retired Ex Skipper Mick Leonard decided to fish aboard Whitby's top charter boat Trot On on Friday and took 1st place in the 2015 W.C.S.A summer festival aboard TROT ON with a cracking ling of 24lb 2 oz. Had a trip out of Whitby with top skipper Paul Eddon aboard Trot On, What a fantastic day was had.
With an average of 40+ fish per man and dozens of throw backs it was a day I will not forget in a long time. The fish were sitting on the bottom and mainly taking jigged shad The picture is of a young chap called Glenn from Stoke who had a mixture of coddling and Haddock. If you fancy a days fishing it has got to be Trot On Charters. I can't wait for my next trip.........

First day of w.c.s.a spring festival 2014

Hi all were glad to report that the fishing yesterday had picked up significantly since the last time we were out.
We had a group of lads on from Wakefield who were all about having a good laff with friends
Thankfully the fishing was decent enuff considering the time of year, tides, water clarity
For the day we ended up with about 45-50 fish onboard codling up to 5lb a ling that we weighed at 7-8lb on boat and would of also have been in the running for 2nd place in the daily prize unfortunately one of the lads gutted the fish which dropped it alot of weight
Still the lads were happy with what they caught
There is still places available on trot-on 1+2 due to cancelled people if interested please use contact details attached thank you for reading
