    Hi all,

Sorry for the lapse in reports recently but as you can guess the weather has not been allowing us much at the moment but when we have managed to dodge the wind we have had some bumper days on the winter Pollock.

Wrecking from Brixham on board Spot On has been simply superb, with nice prime hard fighting Pollock, a few Ling and some pouting hitting the net.

The ling are starting to show up so we will be targeting them very soon and with the Pollock in abundance we will continue to target these as well.

Big Blonde rays on the deep water edges of the skerries banks will also be worth a go with squid and fish cocktail baits using uptider's.

Spot On is looking to be very busy this year and I have already been asked to open 2017 diary which I will do very soon as I now have the tides.

    Jan 2016 by Ross Parham

After a long winter break with Spot On being ashore for the last 6 weeks for her annual scrub and tidy up etc, it was great to go straight back into the water and have 2 trips straight from the off with lovely calm seas and sunshine.
We steamed out in search of hard fighting winter Pollock and we were not disappointed, a few inshore wrecks held some good size fish but we were in search of more action so another 15 mile steam saw us mid channel were the wreck showed huge signs of life and it showed as the rods were all bent over and line screaming from the reels meant we were in for a good day.
We then moved again as we were in need of a break to be honest but each wreck continued to produce the same stamp of fish.
The fish were a good stamp of between 7-9lb with a good few double figure ones thrown in the mix also.

All in all a great start and an early finish as the lads told me they had caught enough which is always great to hear, so they filleted there catch and had a good scrub down on the way back in to keep Spot On looking pristine. (Thanks guys).
Tops lures were sidewinders although redgills also produced some nice fish as well, we did try some bazinda lures but they did not do so well and the lures fell apart very easy.

Remember you can get your sidewinders on board but please let me know what you want in advance as I carry a limited stock on the boat.

The following weeks should see some bigger Pollock turn up along with whiting and ling.

With already over 200 days booked for this year and already been asked for 2017 dates things are looking good for another great season on board Brixhams premier charter boat and the only catamaran to operate from brixham.

Don't delay and check my availability if you want to join us for 2016.

A big thank you for all my customers old and new for there support and your great attitude and banter on board.

Thanks again to my sponsors SIDEWINDER and TOP RIGS for there continued support and great products.

    Nov 2015 by Ross Parham

October has been a varied month with warm weather and sometimes feeling more like summer, especially when the Cod have been playing ball like they have been all year this year.

Wrecking has been simply fantastic with great numbers of cod, Pollock, ling and bass making up the main sport, although some nice size tub and red gurnards have been taking the sidewinder also which makes for a nice surprise.
Bassing has also been strong with some trips landing lots up to the 5-6lb mark also on sidewinders and wedges.

The skerries continued to fish strong for plaice and rays with only one trip there in October the plaice not being quite as abundant as summer months but with plumper specimen's landed instead.

Spot On managed one last trip to Guernsey in October and what away to finish for this year, lots of prime Black Bream in the region of 2-3lb size around the islands, along with turbot and brill although only small with a handful of keepers.

The wrecking on the way hoe proved again the highlight with large Pollock on the first wreck but it was cod the lads wanted so off I went again and bingo, on the money again with another wreck producing a fish for every angler every drift, a nice end to 2015 Guernsey trips and I look forward to next years trips already.

Spot on has managed one wrecking trip in November so far due to the strong winds we have been having and it seems the Pollock have moved in as they were first on the lures and for the first time in many months just a hand full of cod and lots of Pollock made up the numbers, bait over slack produced some excellent ling fishing with the biggest going 31lb 5oz for Len from Liverpool.

November sees the season winding down for Spot On with Pollock being the target species before the boat comes out early December for a clean, scrub and tidy up ready for the winter Pollock in January 2016.

Bookings for next year have gone crazy and I would like to thank all my anglers for supporting myself and Spot On and enjoying the great Devon fishing town of Brixham, your support is appreciated and I enjoy fishing with you.

A big Thanks again for my sponsor's SIDEWINDER LURE'S and TOP RIG'S as without your great products these fish would simply not be possible.

This Saturday 7th November see's myself attend the Torbay festival presentation for myself to pick up the top skipper award.
(Making statement that Spot On is once again BRIXHAM's top charter boat for the second year running in this event.)

As the end of September is approaching Spot On managed a few more trips between the winds recently with some great results.

Wrecking continues to be very productive with Cod, Ling and Pollock and some great numbers of Bass, have all been landed on board Spot On.

At anchor we have seen loads of Black Bream along with Conger, Ling and lots of big Scad.

I had a recent trip to the skerries banks which produced lots of nice plaice with the biggest going 4lb 10oz and again at anchor some good fishing with Blonde and Small eyed rays being caught, other species included a red mullet, whiting, red gurnards, tub gurnards, grey gurnards, dogfish, bull huss and mackerel.

it must be said that the last 3 trips have thrown up some real monsters for Spot On, a 20lb Cod, 4lb 10oz Plaice, 30lb Ling, 10lb Bass and a huge 19lb Turbot for regular angler Chris from Plymouth.

Again a big thanks for my sponsors for there continued support and great products they offer you anglers, who are SIDEWINDER lures and TOP RIGS.

Spot On was again top charter boat from Brixham in this years biggest competition in our area the Torbay Festival.

Torbay Festival was hampered again this year with some easterly winds meaning Spot On couldn't fish some days, however I am pleased to announce once again this year Spot On was again top boat from Brixham.

Some great fish and some great trophies and prizes won for my anglers, so well done guys.

Spot On is Brixhams only Catamaran offering speed, stability, comfort and plenty of room

It has come to light that some local skippers seem to have become a bit green eyed with jealousy and have tried to hamper my reports which I feel is a real shame as they are trying to stop 'you' the anglers and readers seeing my reports and catches.

All I can say is the competition results speak for themselves.
The catch gallery speaks for itself and still the only charter boat in Brixham to catch Blue and Porbeagle sharks.

Oh I almost forgot, not to mention winning CBUK catch of the month 8 times along with holding 3 CBUK record catches, feel free to check out the other local boats and make up your own mind.

Rant over so thank you to my anglers old and new who have come to me from other charter boats and who have been with me from the beginning, I welcome your custom and support of Spot On and Brixham and I will do my best to get you the fish you dream of.

Thank you to my SPONSORS: SIDEWINDER lures and TOP RIGS for there continued support and great products they offer. (order these direct and collect on board or have them sent to you) (Please pre order)

2016 Diary is filling very fast with the Torbay festival for 2016 now fully booked and all weekend's full until November 2016 but please do get in contact and I will see what I can offer.

The big tides at the beginning of September saw Spot On heading out on a couple days of Bassing.
When we arrived at our first wreck of the day we were not disappointed as from the off the bass were hitting the net, we could have stayed all day catching these fun little silver beauties but we decided to try a few more wrecks throughout the day and again Spot On was on the mark again bringing 2 double figure bass on one drift and accompanied by a few more averaging 5-8lb region.

Day 2 saw much of the same but 8lb was the biggest we could manage on this day but still loads of fun and lots of fish, the lads all filled there quota of 3 fish each and we then enjoyed the sport on light tackle.

Thanks goes to SIDEWINDER lures for there sponsorship and giving my anglers some great lures that are simply awesome and caught some great Bass.

2016 Diary filling fast so if you want to have a trip on board Brixham's only catamaran offering you Speed, Stability, Comfort and space and the chance to catch fish that you will find only in my gallery then get in touch.

Shark fishing has been very good this year on board Spot On from Brixham with just 3 trips completed we have had over 30 sharks boated, the best day was manic with 5 sharks all being hooked and played at the same time and with 2 lost in the battle of lines going all ways we did manage to keep 2 beauties both being measured for length and girth in turn making them 125lb and 132lb.

This was a truly remarkable trip as it was busy all day with many sharks in the area.

The next best sharking day saw 12 blues landed.

Spot On has one more shark trip planned for this year as I only do a few trips a year sharking and this is on the 28th September 2015 with 1space remaining. (max 6 anglers on the boat).

Spot On is still the only boat to catch Blue sharks and Porbeagle sharks from Brixham.

Diary for 2016 is looking very busy so get in quick to have a trip on board Brixham's only catamaran offering you speed, stability, comfort and plenty of room.

Spot On is sponsored by lure giant SIDEWINDER and TOP RIGS meaning you can fish with the best end tackle available on the market today. (Please contact me to pre order and collect on board).

    Aug 2015 by Ross Parham

Well I am back from holiday and have completed just 4 trips since my last report and some cracking fish Spot On has caught.
A couple days wrecking few up loads of Ling up to 25lb 8oz, cod to 22lb, Pollock to 16lb, Whiting to 3lb 8oz and Black bream to 6lb 4oz.

A session at anchor resulted in 89 conger eels hooked with 60 being boated up to 53lb, all eels were 'T' Barred off at the side of the boat so my arms are aching.
A couple of drifts at the end of the day with lures resulted in some small Pollock and a few bass.

2016 Diary for weekends is now full until end of October and many weekdays have also gone so if you want to fish on Brixham's number one charter boat and the only Catamaran and still the fastest, newest vessel in the port let alone the ONLY boat who will try 100% to catch you a fish of a lifetime and just look at the photos and you will see for yourself.

Thanks to Sponsor's SIDEWINDER and TOP RIGS for giving me the end tackle that catch these awesome fish.
I have this great tackle for Sale as mail order so drop me a call.

    Aug 2015 by Ross Parham

What a month July was this year, very disappointing on the weather front with over 50% of trips having to be cancelled due to strong winds.
However when we did get out the fishing was fantastic once more from SPOT ON! of Brixham with wrecking still going strong with great numbers of Cod, Pollock, and Ling being the main target species with the odd Bass and whiting making a show.

Skerries banks have tailed off a bit in numbers but the Plaice are getting bigger with one session seeing a 4lb and 5lb fish being taken along with a fair few in the 2-3lb region. The blonde and small eyed rays are also showing well although no great monsters of these landed just yet.

Last trip before my holiday yesterday (1st August) saw us head out to the mid channel wrecks with a group of lads from Bristol all on hired rods saw them catching plenty of Cod and Pollock along with pouting.

lucky angler Matt Williams pulled a monster from the deep and a once in a lifetime fish on a 15/30lb class fladen hire rod fitted with Akios reel loaded with 30lb braid and armed with a sidewinder lure on a 30lb trace hooked an Angler fish, which is a first for me on board Spot On. The fish hit 49lb on the scales on board and after the long steam home it was kindly weighed by Steve and Liam Ford of Brixham Sea anglers on there official club scales so after losing a bit of fluids and weight it hit the scales at 47lb 4oz

2016 diary is filling faster every day so if you want to fish on the ONLY boat out of Brixham who delivers results and also the ONLY catamaran in the port and the ONLY charter boat skipper who goes over and beyond to bring you results that others simply can not match up to, then please feel free to contact myself.
(MY CATCHES AND RESULTS DO THERE OWN TALKING!!)

BRIXHAMS Premier and TOP charter boat by far. (Just look at the photos and only been going 2 years!!!)

Thanks again to my SIDEWINDER sponsor for producing simply the best lures on the market today.

I will be back from holiday on the 14th August and am looking forward to the first shark trip of the year along with more Guernsey trips followed by the annual Totbay festival.

    Jul 2015 by Ross Parham

Well fishing again during the end of June and into July on board Spot On, has been nothing short of cod fantastic with wrecking from Brixham still fishing at its best.
Although not as many 20lber's as previous years but number of fish wise no contest as lots of fish in the 4-7lb mark making for some great scrappy sport and clean fillets for the table.

Some nice double figure summer Pollock are also in the mix with a few ling make up the majority of catches on the wrecks.

Channel island trips have been good with again on board Spot On with plenty of fish on the wrecks on the way and the Turbot have been small but we have had some monster Brill and with the bream fishing being amazing they have made the trips worth while.

Mackerel are still very hit and miss inshore but when we can get some fresh bait the Blonde & Small eyes rays are making an appearance on the ray pitts.

Plaice on the skerries are starting to increase in size and the numbers of 100+ fish per day is common as of late, also we have had a few small turbot coming on board as well which is great to see so long may it continue.

Over 50% of trips in July so far have been cancelled due to our fine summer weather!!

Bookings for 2016 have gone crazy and the calander is filling up fast so be quick if you want a trip on board Brixham and the south wests premier charter boat who always goes the extra mile and never stops working to give you the best chances to catch fish others only dream of.

Only one catamaran in Brixham and simply only one SPOT ON!

More channel island trips coming up after my holiday so I will keep you posted and the annual Torbay festival is also looming closer along with sharking so much more to fish for this year.

A big thanks goes to SIDEWINDER LURES & TOP RIGS for there continued sponsorship and support.

Thank you for all your continued support to myself and Spot On and choosing Brixham for our fantastic angling that we have to offer you.

Pictured is one of the great Sidewinder Rattle backs that have caught some awesome fish lately.
