July has again been a great month for the weather so far and with the wrecking still going strong Spot On has been finding some great fish with plenty of Cod, Pollock, Ling and Bass as the main target specices which the anglers have been enjoying on recent trips.

Surprised to see sightings of a leaping shark, a whale and loads of sunfish is great to see and fishing for these new speices excpet the whale is good fun and Sharking if we can find mackerel will be at the end of this month.

Thanks to the anglers for supporting Spot On and making this year brilliant and with the 2015 diary already filling up looks set to continue for the future, lets hope the great quality of fish continue, all in all i can not complain with the new boat being awesome and every angler who joins us on board amazed by its speed, space and comfort and they just love it, plus it means so much more fishing time its more time to grab that chance of cathing a fish of a lifetime from Brixham and as you can see the 2014 catches are of high quality and quantity.

Pictured is another charter boat UK record: The biggest sunfish seen this year.

Wrecking from Brixham on board Spot On has been to be honest up and down but with all trips producing plenty of Cod and Pollock along with Bass, Ling, Whiting and a john dory or two, just difficult to find the larger specimens some days.

It has been hard work to find the larger Cod as all the wrecks seem to hold lots of small fish that are grabbing the lures before the big ones have chance to get hooked.
But being persistent and being 'Spot On' with the drifts we have found a few bigger ones to keep the 20lb+ fish still coming to the net.

Spot On has been out and about on the skerries bank with Plaice being the prime target speices, great numbers of plaice have been coming in with the best day totalling 71 plaice, numerouse red, grey and tub gurnard, countless dogfish and a few blonde rays.

Pictured is Dennis Taylor with his fine blonde ray which took his plaice bait whilst drifting the skerries bank, not bad for 6lb class tackle.

Spot on was over for a 3 day Alderney break for the 9th,10th &11th of June with a great bunch of guys and it has to be said the weather was perfect.

Day 1 saw Spot On hit the mid channel wrecks on the way over produced some great fish which included too many to count double figure Pollock, a few ling and lots of Cod.

Day 2 saw Spot On fishing the banks in search of Turbot and Brill and again what a day with a total of 23 big flatties were bought to the net which consisted of 17 turbot and 5 Brill, the biggst Turbot at 12lb 4oz and the biggest brill at 4lb 5oz.

Day 3 the lads decided they would like to try for some BIG cod so we again left Alderney and headed to the mid channel wrecks with the first wreck producing again lots of monstrous Pollock, we then hit wreck 2 and bingo with all nice cod coming up, then Phil hit into a bigh fish and soon surfaced a 25lb 8oz Cod, another 'Spot On' drift straight after and again another 20lb+ cod for phil at 21lb 4oz, we stayed a bit longer and getting some more double figured cod before our steam home to brixham.

A Big thank you to the lads for returning lots of there flatties and for making the trip again a great success.

Out wrecking with a great bunch of novice anglers who travelled down from Bristol to fish the wrecks in search of some monsters of the deep, and Spot On did not dissapoint by landing on the Cod, many drifts producing 7/8 fish until Dean thought he had snagged the wreck and low and behold it moved and after a 15 minute strruggle he moved the monster Cod away from the bottom and was shocked to see what was on the end of his 'HIRE ROD' a stunning cod of 27lb hit the net.

Thanks to the lads for saying they had more than enogh fish and enabling me to have an early finish which makes a change.

Spot On has been using her speed to get out to some great fishing at the moment, with good catches on the wrecks both inshore some days and offshore on others, with lots of Pollock, Cod and with a few Ling, Whiting, Gurnards and pouting thrown in the mix as well.

Weather has been fantastic and the guys have all been great and the days fishing have flown by with good sport all round all round with bent rods everywhere.

Off to the channel islands soon for our first trip this year as the first one was cancelled due to the weather so fingers crossed for this one.

One trip producing some massive summer pollock with one angler taking 11 double figure fish and total of 20 fish in double figures with most weighing in at 12-15lb.

Pictured is the Jammy skipper who put his rod down for a drift to show the others how its done and with my fine Summer Pollock.

Wreck fishing is still going strong from Brixham if you do the distance.

Great to see more Cod than Pollock caught on one trip and with the Ling and whiting still around its been a good, Cod are small at the moment, a few double figure ones in the mix but with the average fish around 5-7lb mark, next few weeks will see the bigger specimens turning up.

Remember Spot On is Brixhams premier charter boat and will always keep you up to date with catches and reports, just check out the catches so far this year already.

Skerries bank is still fishing with good numbers of plaice being caught, also the first small Bass was caught on a recent trip so things are looking to be a great Summers fishing on board Spot On.

Sorry for the lack of photos as I was flat out with the net this weekend as my crew was unwell.

Spot On is on Facebook where you can see anglers who have been, caught and conquered the fishing on Spot On.
