The lad called Big C ( by his pals ) from Birmingham, took the best fish today just a smidge under double figures, the fish was in fantastic condition, was taken on one of our Daiwa Kenzaki Hire rods, coupled up with a Slosh 30, braid main line, the bait was squid and worm presented on a pennel rig with 5/0 hooks.
So lads with only a couple of days left until the festival the big ones are starting to show!
We still have a few spaces left, so drop me a line if youre interested

Todays trip was skippered by Dave Pike who has joined East Anglian Charters veteran skipper from Felixstowe who has moved local to us now, for those who didnt know Dave has worked the east coast for many years so very pleased to have his knowledge and seamanship skills onboard the Flyer.Same as yesterday with myself ,extremely windy day keeping inshore in the same area, hard days fishing all round, ending up with doggies and whiting again. Pictured today are Darren,Neil and Daniel with their catch they kept, also thanks to the others Andy( who didnt catch me a cod as promised) Curtis ,John and Jack, much appreciated everyone with the difficult conditions well done to all of you. Also to Dave for todays charter , lets hope a bit of cold comes in along with the cod!

Strong south westerleys today gusts nearing 40mph! No let up in this weather stating to grate on me. Kept inshore again headed up in the Roads not particulary bothered as fish running inside. Wasnt expecting a spotty dog two minutes into the session got me thinking no codling! The sea still too warm for this time of year ended up with few doggies during the day, nice size flatty and numerous whiting during the day. Few keepers among them ,Steve from Eastheat pictured here for us with some of the fish. Appreciate Steve for organizing the trip, thanks to Jay, Ady,Jamie,Alex,Neil,Roy,Adam and Nick for coming, was a hard days fishing along with a little bit of a bashing from the weather thought everyone done well despite conditions. Hope you enjoyed the day men looking forward to seeing you all hopefully when cod are in.All the best. Jon. (High Flyer)

It didnt take long for us to start nailing a few fish. the lads fished steady all through the day, even with such a small tide the fish continued to feed all day even through slack water.
The best bait by far was squid and black lug worm.
Between them they amassed a good catch of between 40 and 50 codlings to keep, plus a good few chuck-back codlings under 40cm. there were a good few in the 3lb to 5lb range. biggest would have been around 6lb.
Pictured is Dave with a brace of fighting fit Cod
We still have a few places on the Uptiding Festival starting next month, if you're interested in getting among the Winter Cod give me a call on 07977 436 903

Well all i can say more of the same today after a count up at the end of the day there was over 90 fish onboard and that was 99% cod a belting day once again everybody got amoung the fish and again the weather played ball a lovelly day at sea very mild and sunshine and very little wind.

The tide yesterday was fairly small one not the really the best for uptiding but again the fishing was superb plenty of cod around the 5-6lb mark and one around the 8lb mark plus there was ling as well and another species which just now and again pops up at first i thought it was a thornback but with those two big spots on its back its the clear markings of a cuckoo ray .
A nice fish for one of the lads another bleting day.UPCOMING INDIVIDUAL SPACES ONBOARD Sea Otter 2
