A great trip. Lyle found the cod for us yesterday, lots of quality cod of 10lb plus and a few pollock. He spent over an hour filleting the catch on the way in. Thanks for a great day out.

My son david and I booked this trip after checking the reviews of most of the Weymouth charter boats. We made a really good choice as we had an excellent day out. We did not catch a lot of fish but the flowing tea and the help that Lyle gave us was second to none. He was always checking our methods and bait and did all he could to get fish on the boat. Every time we moved, we caught the species that he said we would. We have just booked two weeks holiday in Weymouth for 2016 and Lyle and Supanova 11 will be our first port of call. Many thanks Lyle. My son David and I booked this trip after checking the reviews on most of Weymouths charter boats. To say that we made a good choice is an understatement. We did not catch a lot of fish but had a fantastic day out with Lyle and a group of his regulars. The tea kept flowing and we had several moves. Each time, we caught the species that Lyle said we would. He was extremely helpful to the pair of us as we did not have the local knowledge that the other anglers had. He was always checking our methods and bait and did everything he couild to put fish on the boat. We have just booked another two weeks holiday in Weymouth for 2016 and Supanova 2 will be the first place we book our tripes.

    Skippers Reponse: Many Thanks Mick,

Great to see you, see you in 2016!

    All the best,

    Lyle

'Captain Fantastic' on top form yet again, with some of the very best wrecking for cod ever experienced from Weymouth. Lyle even organised flat calm seas and warm sunshine. Top Bloke - Top Skipper.

My third trip down to Weymouth and a first with Lyle and Supanova. Such a cracking boat, a first time for me on a BW and I was really impressed. So much room. Lyle had been let down by some boys the night before which is poor and not on. It didn't dampen his spirits and he still worked hard all day to get us on the fish. Plenty of tea and coffee all day, and I eve caught my first ever black bream with the help of deckie Ryan. Had a few nice fish to go home with including 2 nice plaice. Thoroughly impressed all round, love Weymouth as did my Mrs. Will be back again one day.

Skippers Reponse: Cheers Luke, a bit of a shame we couldn't show you what weymouth can really offer. Hope to see you again soon!

    Tight lines,

    Lyle

In over forty years of sea fishing experience one adage remains true, the unpredictability of it. For Charter Boat Skippers to produce the best results for their customers on the day the face the constant and consitent challenge of changing weather patterns, tides and fish feeding behaviour. As with the ebb and flow of time, no two years are truly consistent, a good Turbot season one year does not ensure a good Turbot season the following year and so on and so forth. You can have a good haul on a wreck one day, go there the next and it does not fish quite so well. There are many imponderable variables to contemplate on as to why, and its the job of the Skipper to use his knowledge and experience to try on provide his crew with the best catch he can on the day taking all these factors into consideration. Skippers therefore cannot wave a magic wand and produce a boat load of fish every trip, fishing is not like that, and this to the experienced angler and novice alike it what represents the challenge and excitement of sea angling and keeps anglers returning again and again. Will today I catch that specimen Bass or a bumper haul of Cod? However one maxim remains a constant talking point among all charter boat anglers, can they they be sure that given all the variables (and lets chuck in the mix their own angling skill and quality of their fishing tackle) that their chosen skipper will try his best to get them fish. Enter Lyle Stantiford skipper of his recently aquired excellent new boat Supanova 11. The often used paradox 'an old head on young shoulders' truly applies in Lyles case. Having fished regularly with Lyle over the past couple of years or so I have clearly formed the opinion that given all the variables on the day he will do his utmost to give his customers the very best days fishing he can. Fishing conditions the early part of this year due to a cold winter and early spring were somewhat challenging. With the onset of warmer weather the Weymouth wrecks are comming alive with Cod and Pollack. My one previous wreck trip Lyle found me 8 cod, including 5 on 5 drifts, the trip on the 21st of June there were a few less cod, but some quality Pollack, I had 4 into double figures and one aroung the 15lbs mark on a mix of the live sandeels Lyle had provided and a White Sidewinder, Rhubarb and Custard accounting for the cod as part of a bumper haul. So there you have it, a top young skipper that will always do the best for his customers on the day. I have just one comment, please get some brown sauce to go with the bacon sarnies!

    Skippers Reponse: Thanks Glenn,

As always a pleasure to have you on board, looking forward to the next trip already!

Another top day out with Lyle. This was my first since the arrival of the new boat and what a beauty she is. We went a long way to get to the clear water but this was no discomfort on Supanova II and the trip was worth it with plenty of fit Pollack and a bonus cod and ling for our efforts. Detailed report and pictures can be viewed here - http://www.madpolka.co.uk/29may2013.html

    Skippers Reponse: Thanks Steve,

Was great to have you out on the new one. See you soon!
