I have just returned from an enjoyable few days fishing aboard My Way. The fishing was split between drifting for wrasse, anchoring inshore and fishing the Holyhead Deeps when the tide slackened. During the trip I targeted and caught my first cuckoo wrasse, tope and spotted ray with Geth’s help. According to Geth the Holyhead Deeps were not fishing well, despite this we had a number of double figure bullhuss, several tope and a couple of spurdog. On more than one occasion there were multiple hook ups of huss or tope. I can’t imagine what it would have been like if it fished it’s head off! Geth never stops working to ensure that everyone gets the most out of their day. His ability to put his anglers over fish is a skill that only comes with experience. The fishing was good but just as important is the banter onboard, we all had a good laugh and the lunchtime chilli was awesome. What ever you do don’t leave you rod out when you go to the loo! Thanks Geth for a brilliant few days on My Way!

Skippers Reponse: Thanks for the review Trevor, How much do I owe you :). Fun few days for sure, brilliant that we managed to add 3 more species, the goal of 100 in 3years is getting closer, keep at it and thank you.

The wind once again nearly caused the trip to be cancelled. How different things could be from the weekend before. The intention was to go for tope but mother nature only allowed us to get out to some of the local marks picking up cod, poor cod, cuckoos, ballan, pollack, LSD, huss, dabs, whiting and a spotted ray. Bouncy seas, a couple of guys puking and I have felt better but overall it was good fishing on a day when the weather tried its best to stop us going out. Excellent chilli and hosting from Gethyn as always.

Skippers Reponse: Despite conspiring with Tim, I never sent txt next day when the sea did let us sail for the biggies, :). Shame for the chuckers, but hey ho - more food for us, will give your lady the recipe :) lol

This was my first trip on My Way. Previously I had had 3 trips cancelled due to the weather but today it was sunny and calm seas. Plenty of fish, hints and tips from Gethyn. Took the girlfriend for her first trip and she loved. She wanted to go again so we have another trip booked in August and several trips next year, hopefully the weather is as kind. Cheers Gethyn but keep working on some better jokes.

Skippers Reponse: Hey Dave, thanks, certainly was a good day, fish and sunshine. Hard to find suitable jokes with a lady and youngster on board, but no worries for August, poundland have crackers on offer :)
