What a superb day afloat. We enjoyed good weather, good fishing and a lovely meal at lunchtime Gethyn was a perfect host and very knowlegable. Would reccomend his services to anyone and will certainly be booking future trips. Keith Francis

Skippers Reponse: Hi Keith, thanks for that. I too had a good day, it's nice when we catch a bit and have a laugh as well, a good crew always helps. See you soon, thanks again.

As usual a most pleasurable day. Gethyn and his son made a rather dull day out of holyhead a most memorable occasion. Great banter between all punctuated by serious laughter.Gethyn also surpriseed us by finding us some great fish, bullhuss to 12lb,rays to ten and many serious whiting. I had 8 species on the dat, not bad for december.Cheers Gethyn, looking forward to booking some banter for next year.Forgot to mention coffee, good coffee on tap and a serious amount of great Chili.

Skippers Reponse: Thanks Dave, it was a great fun. Not laughed so much on a trip for a while .. and we caught :). I've created a video from the day ... But edited a fair bit !!! Thanks again, Gethyn

Fished one of Gethyn's fun matches for the first time and would recommend these to anyone. Don't be put off by the word "match", concentrate on the "fun" bit. See Gethyn's report for October on his website for the catch details. The highlight of the day was the white/albino bull huss which was a first for everyone onboard. Having fished with Gethyn a couple of times it is obvious why My Way is the boat of choice for so many anglers out of Holyhead. Your day begins with a welcome which is both warm and genuine, the kettle works overtime and you are fed. Free rod hire is available if needed and the rigs Gethyn ties are up there with the best I have seen. He is always on hand with tips and expert advice based on his extensive experience of both the area and fishing at the highest level. No-one can fail to learn something from him either directly or picking up on his advice to others. One huge bonus is Gethyn's love of photography which sees him taking lots of pictures which he will send on by email on request. You should also check his website www.goangling.co.uk which is one of the best around, especially for fish identification and rig diagrams. Fishing with Geth is both fun and instructive. What's not to like about that ?

Skippers Reponse: Thanks Chris, it was a good day afloat and as you say the emphasis has to be on fun. Agreed on the huss, what an amazing sight to see and to watch swim off afterwards, thanks again Gethyn

Our Shore Fishing Club had chartered My Way for a day's general fishing which we were all really looking forward to the trip and Gethyn did not disappoint us. Though the weather was challenging, our skipper put us over the fish all throughout the day. Our species tally was ten plus with some good sized Wrasse and Bull Huss amongst them. We all found Gethyn to be very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with good quality gear to use if needed. Tea and coffee were plentiful and a cooked lunch at anchor after a good morning's catching. Many Thanks to Gethyn for a great day.

Skippers Reponse: Thanks Neil. I had a great time myself , it's always good fun to see the more novice of the crew getting amongst the fish and having a good day, the Ladies certainly enjoyed themselves. Thanks again.

I booked this trip earlier in the year for a crack at the spurs and tope in Holyhead deeps. Unfortunately the wind and weather prevented us reaching the deeps, which was a shame as its on fire at the moment with double figure spurs and tope. Gethyn was restricted to the inshore reefs and flats but that didn't stop him putting us on some none stop Ballan wrasse fishing with pollack, codling and cuckoo wrasse thrown in. The wrasse went to around 3lb and I had around 30+ in a couple of hours, which gave great fun on light rods. Later we anchored up on the mussel beds and had dogs, gurnards, whiting, huss to double figures, a small hound and a run off a large tope, which was lost by an unlucky angler. A great day afloat and many thanks to top skipper Gethyn, looking forward to a repeat trip in September. If anyone's up around that neck of the woods I would recommend having a look at this boat particularly if you like wrasse fishing.

Skippers Reponse: Hi Paul, weather has been all over the place in 2012, thankfully we managed the day afloat. The drifting is great fun, I also enjoy the drift fishing, roll on September the wrasse will be bigger :)
