i have been using gethyn owens boat 'my way' for 4 years now, as well as a boat that comfortably takes 8 anglers,Gethyn is very competent in his skippers skills as well as his vast knowledge in catching fish, if people are not catching, he will change tactics and then you will, he knows the area well. He always makes you welcome and offers banter second to non, good food is always on hand. You will enjoy time spent on board 'my way' but unfortunatly it will fly past fast, because you will have enjoyed yourself so much.

Skippers Reponse: Hi Kev, thanks or that. We certainly try our best to catch a few fish and have a laugh along the way. 22/05 was a good day, a few firsts and pb's smashed :) see you soon

Once again Gethyn found us the fish, with myself and my mate Curly both landing our first Smoothounds both well over 12lbs. Fantastic hospitality is guaranteed on My Way, Gethyn kept us topped up with tea and coffee all day and superb sausage butties. Another great day on the water...cheers Gethyn, look forward to next time.

Skippers Reponse: Brilliant fun as ever Dave and a few fish as well.. We even got Curly into a great hound ..... I wont tell if you won't. Thanks and see you soon

Well where do I start, my first boat fishing experience and all I can say is Gethyn is top skipper and top bloke who keeps the brews coming along with friendly banter. I knew very little about  boat fishing but that was no problem at all as Gethyn was very patient  and showed me exactly what to do and ensured I made the most of my day aboard My Way. The marks we fished was great, 40/50 double figure huss and spur dogs between us in a crazy 2 hours. We also did some drift fishing before we went after smooth hounds but unfortunately they weren't playing ball but hey that's fishing and didn't detract from what was overall a superb day and I can't wait to go again.

Skippers Reponse: Thanks Ari, was a great day afloat for sure I was knackered by the end of the day ....also proof even Evertonians get treated well :). See you soon

Skippers Reponse: Thanks Thomas, enjoyed the day myself, the banter as you say was superb. Some good hounds all around the boat:). Catch up with you again soon (as a Chef, your turn to bring the munchies :) ), Gethyn.

It's a good thing the skipper is a Liverpool supporter, as it means he's got a sense of humor! And it was needed todHay with the thwo novices on board. First time on a boat and mixed reactions to the weather. I had a brilliant start to my stag courtesy of mr Gethyn Owen, mixed bag of fishes, plenty of doggies, some pollack for the pot and Huss, with the occasional codling thrown in for good measure. Gethyn made a real effort with the pair of us and he was very patient and full of banter, will definitely be going again, hopefully for the rays or the smoothies :-) thanks Skipper!!

Skippers Reponse: Cheers, certainly been laughing this season . A good day despite a big lumpy sea and a breeze early on and, we never had one bad birdie! Best of luck .... to your fiancé :) see you soon

I took my two oldest kids for a 4hr kids trip on Myway , 12th april 2012. They having a great time before we had even started fishing with the friendly banter and micky taking by both the crew and the fellow passengers. Every one caught a few fish , and my 2 were quite exited at seeing a good size bull huss and a thornback ray landed by two of the other juniors as they had never seen them before. It went rather too well though , as i now have two kids mithering me to book another trip. I would recommend to anyone as he cares for the novices and the skilled alike and as a bonus get free teas and food !! 10/10

Skippers Reponse: It was good fun Haydn. Glad the kids had a great time, Haf was the star of the day. No fear and full of excitement with fish, bait, driving .. Everything lol. We'll do another kids day soon I think.

Being new to boat fishing, me and my girlfriend were welcomed aboard and made to feel very comfortable. We were well looked after by the skipper with hot food/drink and more importantly coaching us through the fishing as the day progressed. A top boat with excellent facilities what more could we of asked for. A fantastic day out and we will defiantly be back soon.

Skippers Reponse: Thanks for the review. Glad you both enjoyed the day afloat, it was a fun day, I think Tash won with the Spur, but we'll go for a boys win on the hounds next month, thanks again
    Gethyn

Gethyn made sure we had a brilliant day, as practically novices to fishing Gethyn really looked after us.

Skippers Reponse: Thanks for that Mark, it was an enjoyable day afloat. Look forward to seeing you in the summer, we'll get some drifting under our belts with the wrasse and pollack :)

what a fantastic day out a bit lumpy at times but that just made it more fun. Geth got us on the fish from the off and kept us well fed and the tea and coffee flowed i have been on the My Way twice now and it is the best boat for fun and fish that i have been on iave been on a few on the mearsey but Geth stands out from the crowd when it comes to putting you on the fish. well done m8 for a great day out.

Skippers Reponse: Cheers for that Pete. Nice bit of fishing for February for sure, was certainly a good laugh as well, if only the video was running ..... see you soon :)

Having not fished afloat for about 18 months and knowing the Irish Sea can become uncomfortabe in a short time i opted for the 24 hr mooring facilities offered at Holyhead. I fished aboard My Way skippered by Gethyn Owen and was greeted with a cup of tea on arrival. Once the rest of the days crew arrived we were given a full safety brief and made our way out to sea. We fished several marks over a variety of ground throughout the day. Catches were made up of whiting, poor cod, pouting and dogfish, with a few huss to liven proceedings. these fish make up the bulk of any catch in North Wales through the winter with us catching right through the tide. Pleasing to see many of the whiting topping a pound too! The skipper was friendly and spent a lot of time coaching a youngster on his first trip aboard a boat- between keeping the rest of the crew happy with tea and coffee to ward off those cold northerly winds. My Way offers a friendly, fun day out with an exerienced skipper whose sole concern seemed to be his crews happiness and satisfaction. A five star day out

Skippers Reponse: cheers for the words David. It was a fun day with plenty of fish. I think young Tomos has the fishing bug now, he certainly never stopped. A few nice whiting going home for supper was a good end..
