never been sea fishing before, but can honestly say had a greay day out, gary & darren (crew) were really helpful in showing novices like myself how to fix rigs, making sure we knew how to fix bait and giving tips to make our day an enjoyable experience, keeping us all fed and stoked up with coffee, nothing was to much trouble for these lads in making sure we all caught fish and had a great time, bring on 2013 will be back with the lads for another trip, i'am hooked pardon the pun, cheers gary and darren keep up the good work lads.

This was my first fishing trip so having never done this before i was a bit apprehensive.However i absolutely loved it! Gary and his son were always on hand to help all day.Mick is arranging a wreck fishing trip next year so i will definitely be on it.

After an early lock out it turned out to be a beautiful sunrise with incredible visability later on, I got the the dreaded doggie hitting me constanly, still I was catching, a seal appeared so Gary was imeadiatly up for moving as we all know thats sent everything back into the wreck. So another wwreck and more doggies for me, it happens, guess it was just my turn.However, hats off to Gary, Daz and Eric when those tiny tope started appearing, they were all netted and handled so carefully before being quickly returned. Total respect for the fish from the guys; total respect for the guys from me. H.

Well I can only give this trip 10 out of 10, a very clean very well looked after boat, the skipper and crew gave us all the help we needed as well as tips and tricks to make sure we all got fish, I had 12 for the day. (Whiting, Dogfish, Gurnard, Tope ) yes i got a tope this late in the year, and not just me as i think we had two for the day. If you want a Outstanding fishing trip then it has to be on the Discovery. Looking forward to my next trip on Nov 10th

"I would just like to say a really big thank you to Gary and Eric for once again providing myself and my friends with yet another fantastic days fishing on board discovery. If enyone is thinking of booking a trip and hasen't been before then I can't recommend it highly enough. Gary, Eric and mickey the crew will look after you brilliantly and help you have a most enjoyable day with their expert knowledge. They are all really friendly and rods and equipment can be provided. Also you are kept supplied with teas and coffee as well as Gary's famous hot pies or pasty. This was my 3rd trip with them and we used to travel all the way to anglesey to go out on a boat from amylch. But to be honest this is so much better if you live on the northwest as all the time spent travelling, petrol costs etc are done away with. Gary took us out wreck fishing 20 miles from sandon dock and we were soon fishing in sight of the great Orme Llandudno. And what a days fishing it turned out to be. First we were catching mackerel for bait and then it was all systems go. The highlight of the day for myself was catching a 7.5lb cod which I hope might put me in with a chance of a free days fishing in the competition Gary runs for the best monthly fish. Also caught were, a huge bull-Huss, gurnard, Whitting,,baby Tope, flattys,dogfish. Basically loads of different species and anything we would have caught on Anglesey we got on board discovery. So many thanks Gary and Eric for providing us with another really brilliant day Mike, Stuart and Alan. In fact Stuart is already trying to arrange our next trip with you. Cheers!"

I fished off shore with Discovery, I had an absolutely fabulous day we caught a good mixed bag of fish and a nice lobster. It was that good that I asked the skipper when the next single space was available. Luckily he came back to me and said he had the 14th August free for me. So I was thrilled and re-booked it.
