At 62 years of age I'd never been fishing, what an fantastic experience. Gary and the crew very professional and helpful in every way, from advising bait to unhooking catch, what to keep, what to throw back. Thanks for an exciting day, certainly be doing it again. Foggy

Skippers Reponse: cheers Norman hope to see you again

When I read the earlier reviews I thought they must have been Gary's relatives - I can happily say having been out this week for the first time that I would agree with all of the comments listed so far. from getting on board Gary and the team were absolutely fantastic and the facilities were absolutely first class. I took my 8 year old and 10 hours went by in a flash - its a lot cheaper than Disney but I know which my 8 year old preferred - Well done Gary and look forward to booking again soon - I should also say that the mix of fish we caught was superb!

A stunning day on the Discovery, the weather was incredible, like a mill pond 28 miles out, anyway after no joy at the first wreck we found the fish at another and what fish, some of the lads landing the magical cod and one lucky guy got a lobster! It actually took the bait properly. I might have missed on the cod but at slack water I hooked into a lovely thornback, 9.3., smashing another PB on the Discovery. If my count was right we had a good dozen species come aboard in a single trip. Nice one guys, can't wait for next time. H.

Great introduction to fishing. This was my first time of any type and felt at home very quickly. Although Gary is easy going and appears relaxed it's all part of making our day go well. His professionalism and knowledge of boat and equipment leave you feeling completely safe and secure, again leaving you to enjoy the day. Eric, ships crew, is always around to help or chat with. Unsung hero really! A super day and we will be rebooking soon.

Skippers Reponse: john thanks again hope to see you soon gaz

Despite what can only be described as atrocious weather conditions, 11 members of the Black Horse Fishing Club braved the conditions for a very enjoyable day aboard the fantastic charter boat - Discovery with Gary, Darren and crewman (sorry can't remember name). We visited several wrecks in the hope of catching something for the table and made the best if the poor weather conditions with some nice mackerel, pollack and gurnard. When the tide had turned we made our way back to an inshore mark to target smoothound (with 30+ to 13lb coming to the boat) and bass which didn't show in the lousy conditions. We were well looked after, fed and watered and the guys made a great effort to put us on fish as best they could... we'll be back, hopefully in the sunshine next time out ;o)

Skippers Reponse: Cheers Shaun, see you next time with a bit of sunshine. Gary
