The ( codfarther) Garry as usual put us right on the fish. We had about 50 cod on the boat, plus dozens of whitting some up to nearly 2lb. As usual a cracking all round day. I even came home with an extra pasty. 5 stars all round . Roll on the 13th of December

Ron foster went out with Gary in November after not fishing for 30 years excellent trip Gary was very friendly and knowledgeable the food and drink and the way he looked after every one was very good all ready booked trip for January thanks gary

The cod are comming, along with plenty of whitting ,some dabs and crabs and a few doggies. Another good all round day on the Mersey with Garry and the gang. Looking forward to my November, December , January trips. Top line fishing, great boat, and a really top line skipper. ,

Yet another great day with the Discovery guys, and girl. What ever any one says about a day out on Discovery it sounds as though we are are the pay roll. But it is trully that good.On sunday we had one or two newbees, one of which (Chris) cought a nice pollock and a lovelly thornback of about 11lbs. so we have a new convert to sea angling.. It was a great day all round the weather was fantastic and the fishing as usual was great . Garry really knows his stuff and if any body goes out with Garry and the guys and girl and is disapointed. All I can say is they must be very, very, very, hard to please. 55 stars all round yes 55.

I am running out of superlatives on how to describe how good my trips on the DISCOVERY actually are.Not by chance we all caught well.the star person was one of the three newcomers to boat fishing.the young lady put a few of us to shame with the amount of fish she caught.(beginner's luck?) the food, drinks and the banter were all top notch.gary and ian as always were on top form and behind this top team we all know is a great woman.many thanks Lynn.

SMASHED IT!!! Gary and his deck hand Ian were absolutely fantastic; they were very Knowledgeable and could not be more helpful, the boat was like it had just had a full valet the gear was spot on too. I've been taking a group of lads for 9 years now and I wish I had always charted Discovery. Top day can't wait to go again booking at least 2 trips next year. Cheers Gary & Ian see you in the New Year!

Excellent trip! Took a group of lads out who have fishing 5 years and this is the 1st time we have been with Discovery, wish we had always used this charter. Gary was very friendly and knowledgeable and his deck hand Ian was the same, they both looked after us all day and all 12 of us can not wait to go again. Thanks Gary and Ian

What a day on Discovery. 10 of us decided to have a go at Wreck fishing with Gary and Lynn. We sat back and cruised out 25miles. The sun was shining and the sea was like a pane of glass. Gary told us how to drop our lines in a military fashion to stop tangles, pity we didnt listen hey Gary. Some sussed it out straight away no more than John Snr. A couple of hours drifting and the old man struck a fish of a life time. A 10lb plus cod was netted into the boat. He sat back and watched all us young ones trying to better it to take the sweep. Not a chance, I caught the titanc on numerous occasions but there was no chance of moving that from the sea bed. We ended the day with some smooth hounds on the banks late on. Wether your a novice or a pro you need a day out with Gary and Discovery and you wont go to anyone else. Cheers for a cracking day and we will see you in the winter. John Jnr

We had a great day fishing. A bit hampered by the weather but plenty of fish caught. I caught my first starry smoothhound which is always good to catch something new. Cheers Gary and I look forward to the next trip.
