Had regulars mat and friends on from Stoke today for a 7am start as the fishing has slowed down out in the rock channel last couple of wks we stayed in the river looking for Ray's and had some good results again from 4lb to 8lb over 20 landed weather was perfect all in all a great day again all pics uploaded !!!

August started off well with Tope to 48lbs being taken,
but with the weather again this year being against us we struggled to chase offshore when we did we had plenty of Mackerel some of the smallest i have seen the wrecks produced Pollack and Ling and all the usual stuff.one day i remember is finishing Tope fishing and just trying a drift on a wreck and all rods bent over into Pollack not very big big but around the 5lb mark it was nice to see the lads using our gear to have one drift and all catching a pollack
We where still catching Tope towards the end of August although they are moving further offshore now,
fishing inshore we are still catching smoothounds,dogs Plaice ,dabs, the Rock Channel this year produced Huss to 12lbs and rays to 10lbs and loads of small Tope which is a nice sign we even had Mackerel with one night on the way in a massive shoal was erupting out off the water no more than 500mts from Perch Rock light house .
well the Winter is nearly upon us we have only a few dates left for the Cod fishing the River has to offer in the winter months Gary the skipper

Great day today on lady Helen had Alan and gang from burnley on board who wanted to fish for some rays , we decided to stay in the river and and fish the middle deep as we had good results there last wk, within 10 min of dropping the hook they wer coming on board from 5 lb to 7 lb only 1 whiteing and 1 el caught all day apart from Ray's . All pics been uploaded !!!!

7 on board today with nice weather we headed out to North Hoyle wind farms in search of mackerel after a 1 hour odd steam we found some jumbo mackerel which kept every1 busy for a few hours everybody catching plenty,after we had more than enuf for table we drop the anchor and fished of the bottom wer we had usual dogs,gurnard some small rays after few hours we headed back towards thr Rock channel for smoothies but they weren't playing today but we did manage a couple of nice rays biggest about 6lb all in all a good day every1 was happy and went home with plenty of mackerel back out Monday for another crack,still plenty of availability over next few weeks and coming months Cod season nearly here!!!!!!any1 fancy a great day out give me a txt or call anytime thanks lee(ladyhelen)07514337195 pics to follow ....

Winter COD season is only 7 wks away beginning mid October and runs through till March !! Due to tides we are limited to fish the river Mersey when tides are below 28/5 foot so days and weekends are limited lady Helen has been here taking charters out for almost a year now and we seen and meet lots of new friends many who have fished with us this summer have already book for a COD trip as pics and reports show we are the most up to date charter boat in the north west FACT!!! So to avoid disappointment it's wise to check what dates u have free and book ur COD trip well in advance plenty of wkends availible and discounted mid wk trips if uv never fished the Mersey before it's like nothing else uv fished before 100 yards out the lock and ur on the COD ur easily fishing 9 hours out of the 10 hour trip check out reports and pics from last winter !
