Hi Anglers out over weekend masses of Tope about especially on Sunday. Not the monsters as before but plenty of them. A lot of bite throws and smash ups loosing good fish. hi anglers first commercial trip out yesterday due to travel restrictions to Wales which we followed to protect local community. went Tope fishing 4 out of water largest 40lbs rest 30lbs mark only one small one. Some monsters about lost lot more biting through 200lbs nylon traces. mackerel still poor the water is very coloured but plenty of whiting which tope took. Hi Anglers Looks like you will be able to come to Wales Anglesey From 6 July 2020. Looking forward to Getting you out. Some safety precautions have to be adhered to on the boat and it deep cleaned after every trip.Out with my son earlier in week if you look on Facebook (Roy Smith)you can see amount caught Cod Pollock Coalfish and Tope all on lures. ( 60 cod keepers between 2 of us between 3 and7 lbs loads up to pound and half returned) Good part and Best part of season left. Still under lockdown at moment. But gave the boat a run Tuesday with my son which I,m allowed to do.Between 2 of us caught about 60 cod between 3 and 7 lbs . Loads of pollack and coalfish all returned except two because of very good cod fishing. Matthew caught a large tope on a lure very good fight thought we had broken pollack or cod record when it took. Once you allowed back into Wales get in touch to secure a good tide at very reasonable rates to get catching

At long last the weather , starting to settle down got out fishing today, 5 hours inshore, fishing was hard work, But some nice Flounders, Plaice, and a few Whitings, nice to be out on a sunny calm day, hope to see , you in a month, thanks

In light of recent developments we feel that as a responsible charter boat it is correct that we suspend taking trips for 6 weeks.
This is for the safety of our families and possibly yours.

Another great season from Liverpool, an unrivaled venue for the west coast ��
We had cod to 10lb 8oz, Rays to 12lb 1oz, whitings 2lb +, Congers to 10lb, dabs, flounders...
We managed to sail 51 times, for a tally of 1377 Cod with all bar 6 in size (35cm) I do however run catch and release up to 42cm as a 35cm codling is not worth taking....
This put our average day catch at 27, although there were plenty days better and rightly so plenty of worse days!
We failed to catch a cod on just the 1 trip, The main reason for this was the sheer volume of rays taking pure lug baits within seconds of them hitting the seabed! I stopped counting at 75 rays with a couple hours to go �� Scottish Alex had his hands full fishing 2 rods with Rays on both several times!
On the other end, Our best 2 days afloat had a Cod count of 55 and 53, certainly an improvement over the last couple of years.
Our best fish went just over the double mark @10lb8oz, much smaller than previous years of 15lb +
We had a good run of 5-10lb fish from late October to mid December, The lack of larger fish was apparent thereafter however the numbers of 2-5lb fish that soon arrived really made up for it.
We will be back on the river late October, if you want to secure a certain tide or start time then don't leave it too late... We already have 20 out of the 50 available days booked ����
For those asking, we start back from Anglesey April 1st.
Our main targets throughout April will be the large shoals of spurdogs that lay around Holyhead deeps ��

snuck a 5 hr trip in between the windy days, fished of Prestatyn started off a bit slow as the tide eased the Whiting come on thick and fast, with a few nice Dabs and the odd Pouting inbetween, next trip in anybody is interested wendesday and Thursday next week get in touch for details

This past week We've only been afloat 3 days in-between our house move and the usual getting stuff sorted......
Howver the cod fishing was excellent for ourselves pulling 124 cod in the 3 sessions, the best day we caught 53 cod to the boat to 6lb10oz setting the most caught in day for the 2019/20 season
Most fish have been 2-4lb with the odd larger fish here and there, annoyingly so we have had more whitings taken this by larger cod that like to let go half way up.... ��
We also caught around a dozen Thornback Rays to 10lb, plenty of whitings, dabs and another flounder.
We only have a few days available until we finish our season on the Mighty Mersey until we return in October 2020. View Boats Page

After all the bad weather and cancellations, first trip of the year out today, fished well right from the start, with Whitings non stop all day, had a move right inshore to see if we could catch some Codlings, but water too clear, but lovely flat calm sunny day, plenty off fish see you in 2 weeks lads , thanks.
