    Report on-board Flamer IV

ANGLING BREAK - Glenn Barrett and friends joined Flamer IV for a few days and enjoyed them selves and caught plenty of good fish and different species. They fished a variety of Reefs,Banks and Wrecks catching Plaice,Black Bream,Pollack,Cod,Tope,Conger,Bull Huss and many more species.Of course the social side of the trip was great as well. Over the few days of the Angling Break a friendly/competitive species competition was done and the results were - Champion - Dodgey Dave Barton, Runner Up - Glenn Barrett, Most Species - Dodgey Dave Barton, Best Flatfish - Peter Gillett, Weakest Link - Sam, Pairs Winners - Lee Page and Dodgey Dave Barton.Pictured is Glenn Barrett with his 4Ib 2oz Plaice and new PB.

ANGLING BREAKS - A few days away fishing out of Weymouth along with the social side is a nice trip to do.The variety of fishing and the amount of different species caught at Weymouth is probably second to none.I am now taking bookings for such trips in 2015. So give me a call to plan and book your Angling Break.

CHECK OUT my angling trips page on www.flamer4fishing.co.uk for more info on Angling Breaks.

    Report on-board Flamer IV

During The third match of the Flamer IV Flatty League Dave Palmer age 57 from Dorset thought he had a monster Plaice on his line but it turned out to be an 18Ib 4oz Starry Smooth Hound which is a new Personal Best for Dave and a new Flamer IV record which had stood at 16Ib 8oz for quite a while.Dave's Big Smoothie took the Ragworm and Ammo Squid strip bait intended for Plaice. Dave also caught in with three Plaice during the Flatty League match. I have since heard that the 18Ib 4oz Starry could well a new Port record as well.

the best to ken eccles with a ling just on 10lbs.with the tide now flowing again we headed a little closer in.to do a mixture of wrecks and ground and ended up with around 150 cod being caught. this about average at the moment when the weather lets you play

  • 05/2014 Fishing Report by Jack Thomas on Incentive (Colwyn Bay, Conwy)

    May 2014 by Jack Thomas

    Report on-board Incentive

The smoothhounds are moving in now, had a few yesterday close inshore on peeler crab. The general bottom fishing is improving, still seeing good numbers of codling coming up with dabs whiting dogs gurnards and huss making up the majority of the catch. The algae has been pretty thick lately but has shown signs of clearing, when that happens the mackerel should make more of an appreance.
