Report from our 6 hour tripView Boats Page
We started out on uptiding ground which was very productive with a good selection of codling (2 to 4lb), dogfish and pouting.
All customers caught on the grounds as slack water approched we lifted anchor and ran off to the inshore wrecks unfortunalty the wrecks were not playing ball today tide was perfect but not a great amount was caught we did manage to get a few better cod but general fishing was slow. The wrecks had cleared out but now aglee blume seams to have crept in.
Hopefully with some more shelter weather or a chance to run further offside we can find some clear water, and hopefully a good amount of decent size fish.

A nice day on the cod for Haydn, Craig and Graham the other day.
Most of the fish caught on the shad for a change as just recently most of our fish have been falling to the baited rigs.
Good tides are back from Wednesday next week.
Cheers and tight lines

on Ocean Warrior 3 (Brighton, East Sussex)
19 May 2019 by Tabish Aiman
Another brilliant day on the brand new Ocean Warrior 3. Large bream all day long breaking my previous record of 14 in one day to 36 today! Majority went back to fight another day! Thank you Dave for the precision anchoring. Boat only 50 feet away from us managed the odd bream but were plagued with pout. Jay kept the kettle going throughout the day and was a deft hand on the net....View Boats Page

Fishing Report by Kevin McKie
on Size Matters (Liverpool, Merseyside)
May 2019 by Kevin McKie
Our Skate fishing charters have now come to an end, we are now getting ready to fish for everything other than Skate.View Boats Page
Over the next three weeks we will be fishing way off shore to see what other true fishing potential the west coast of Scotland has to offer.
These trips are very weather dependent and we mite catch the odd Skate as a by-catch when targeting much bigger species.
During the last two weeks of Skate fishing we have had a few slow days with just 3 to 7 Skate a day, as well as amazing days with up to 27 Skate in a day.
A group of lads from the Wirral done very well with 45 Skate over two days there best day was 27 to 199lb with 14 over 100lb, the following day they had 18 Skate to 202lb!!
Bernie Foreshaw from Liverpool and Paul Simpkins from the Wirral both had the biggest Skate over the last two weeks cracking fish of 202lb each, Paul’s Skate was in a bad way with two very big white scars on its wings and a rope around its tail.
We removed the rope from its tail but sadly it was through to the bone and was ready to drop off.
Adam Loftus from the Wirral also had a cracking Skate of 201lb.
Allen Rimmer from the Wirral was the lucky angler to catch our 600th Skate of the season!!
We have also caught one skate with a bite out of its wing and was still bleeding on the deck and we also had a very big Skate (199lb) with a deformed spine and humped back (check out the photos).
There has been some very big Thornback rays caught on the Skate baits most are 12lb to 13lb but we did get a cracking one of 16lb 8oz (the photo doesn’t do it justice).
We have now caught a total of 641 Skate for the season so far with 44 over the magic 200lb mark!!!!

Fishing Report by Bob Marshall
on Duke IV (Ramsgate, Kent)
17 May 2019 by Bob Marshall
Great fishing off Ramsgate now with good size Smoothounds, Thornback Ray, Bass and the first Mackerel showing up. The Hounds are a good average size with plenty of double figure fish amongst them. Squid is taking most of them while peeler crab works well. The Skate are still around with many of them into double figures. Jigging feathers is accounting for a few Mackerel although the water needs to be clear and they are a bit patchy. Plenty of dates available for individuals or groups so come along and enjoy the best in fishing. Pic shows Stuart with one of the better Hounds.View Boats Page

Fishing Report by Jon Whitton
on Alexia (Whitby, North Yorkshire)
17 May 2019 by Jon Whitton
Over the last couple of weeks we've been getting out to the wrecks when the weather has allowed and so far it's been promising with good numbers of codlings coming over the rails. We have also seen a few ling over the rails. The inshore waters are slowly warming up and with the water clearing out and in some places its been like gin it's brought on the inshore wreck fishing. We have used a mixture of artificial lures such as shads etc and also bait and all seem to be catching well. The summer festival will soon be upon us and we still have some good dates with good tides available so check put the availability calender and give us a call to secure your places. We also have the school whit breakat the end of this month we're we will be running our 3hr taster trips for family's and beginners. We are also still taking bookings for the school summer evening mackerel trips and also 6hr summer evening wreck fishing trips new for this season. For more info or to book onto one of our trips please contact Barry onView Boats Page
