A North Sea Giant Returns Home
Yesterday aboard Neverland, angler Ricky Johnson had the privilege of landing an 11 lb seabass, a true giant of the North Sea. This remarkable fish, estimated to be around 22 years old, is a rare and valuable member of our marine ecosystem.
After a careful weigh-in and a quick photo to capture the moment, the mature breeding seabass was safely released back into the water, allowing it to continue its important role in maintaining the health of the North Sea’s ecosystem. These older fish are key to sustaining fish populations, ensuring the survival of future generations.
Specimens like this are a reminder of the delicate balance in our oceans. At Neverland Charters, we’re dedicated to providing our guests with access to areas where large quantities of fish meet quality fish. But more importantly, we’re committed to promoting sustainable fishing practices that protect these incredible creatures and the waters they call home.

Another brilliant day out last Saturday with a great bunch of local guys.
First time for them on Dotty so we went for it off to the banks with perfect conditions to fish the ebb tide for the day.
Distinct lack of birds feeding this time so had to work a bit to find the bass, but we did.
Great sport all day with around 30 good sized fish to the boat with everyone taking their permitted 2 fish the rest safely returned including the best fish of the day and our first double at 10.5 lbs caught by Evan Evans.
He struggled all day using his own gear so switched to our really light gear and using the HTO Sad Shads he certainly caught up!
We'll be out again soon on the big tides as long as these winds go away. View Boats Page

Back on the Bream again today with plenty more cracking fish aboard. Peter, with his special marinated prawns (that had been steepin for 12 months!) led the way with 30+ fish and closely followed but the multi-talented Brighton legend that is Will Johns
A special mention to Sid who between landing plenty of his own good fish also took the time to prepare the most wonderful fresh Bream snack for all aboard - a spicy marinade which he had prepared in advance matched perfectly with the very freshest of Bream cooked aboard in our combination grill oven - thank you Sid from us all����
A lovely crew once again today (something of a theme here) who made the day at sea most enjoyable, our thanks to you all and we hope you enjoy your catch.
With Bream fishing with us that good we are being asked to lay on more trips, those will be loaded in the coming days and posted on here - make hay whilst the Sunshines and all that!
On a seperate but related note, our second boat is now in Brighton! More on that to coKarl Popexpect coding and final fettling to be completed by the end of the month, Karl Pope is itching to take charge of his boat and start targeting those inshore Bass, Bream, Sole & Plaice so stay tuned for details.

After a couple of days off to go coarse fishing. It was great to get out today with some of my favourite customers.Another fantastic day perfect weather perfect tides 18 species on the boat including loads of Bass, Bream , Plaice, Cuckoo Wrasse, Undulate Ray, Scorpion Fish and the icing on the cake 2 Turbot and Brill!

We have been blessed with some fantastic weather and fishing aboard BRAVEHEARTII these last few weeks with good numbers of bass & smoothounds along with a few descend ,thornback rays and the smaller species like dab's, soles ,eels,pouting & lsd's etc. Here's ollie with a nice brace of bass caught withing half an hour of fishing!
The weather for the next few days looks a tad breezy so this gives me time to keep BRAVEHEARTII in tip top condition.
I am receiving great feedback from families who charter the whole boat and i am more than happy to assist novice anglers to enjoy and get the most out of the day

As we would expect at this time of year there's been a great mix of species coming out lately. The bass have really increased in numbers and they are now most definitely here and feeding well.
Smooth-hounds often make up a large amount of our catches and there are some decent ones showing too.
There's been a few rays mixed in too which is nice to see and among the other species there have been a few dabs and even a nice sole came out the other day.
It won't be long before we start our tope trips and I am looking forward to our first plaice trip of the year too.

Bream fishing today with my dear friend Anthony Bonsels and his fantatsic crew of Bexhill anglers.
Tony was one of the first people I met when I started chartering out of Brighton 9 years ago and extended a very warm welcome, a very capable angler and boat handler it was pleasure to take him and his crew to some of the old marks ......... and they absolutely smashed it ������
Total count was around 140 with anything under 2lb going back the guys still took plenty of high quality fish home on ice.
Thanks all for a fabulous day at sea, look forward to seeing you all again for some Turbot action in a couple of months.

After a really enjoyable day species hunting yesterday; today we had a day on the wrecks. The anglers were a mixed group with wildly differing angling experience; from first time boat fishing, to hundreds of days spent at sea! With a dinky 4.4m tide and light winds forecast, I hoped we could get the full day in on the wrecks.
With the water starting to clear up a bit, I chose to try some of the inshore wrecks first and see if any new residents had arrived. If this failed I planned to push out a bit further, as I don’t like to run out a long way unnecessarily.
After a bit of instruction for the lads on my hire tackle and a half hour steam, we dropped onto the first wreck of the day. Most lads went in with a Squid bait on a muppet trace start off with. Thankfully it took less than a minute before a couple of rods were in and a couple of Codling were pulled aboard. To summarise a bit; the first wreck fished well for an hour with multiple fish each run. Steve Mason taking the best Codling at 6lb 8oz and everyone getting off the mark.
Once sport slowed a little we moved on to the next wreck (and that was the pattern of the day). The stamp of Codling were nice today, with most fish in the 3-4lb range and some lovely bright white fish in amongst the wreck residents. Really positive signs at last. We wreck hopped all day, some were more productive than others, but they all did fish.
Two anglers are definitely worthy of mention today. Antanas Jarosius was on my hire tackle and his first time wrecking at Whitby. I showed him what to do once and he fished like a pro all day. I was genuinely impressed with his consistency. He put together a lovely box of fish and on the second wreck of the day took a beautiful Cod of 11lb 8oz….top angling.
Ian Kellock is part of the furniture on Sea Urchin and he had a really decent day, fishing mainly with Shads. It’s great to see that when Ian gets a few, other anglers are willing to give them a try.
Today was the best days wrecking to date this year, with everyone getting a few and some nice fish amongst them.
