    Report on-board Cleveland Princess

Had some Bait left over from weekend so had a run out on my own Monday droped into a mark that i havent been to for a while it prodused the goods,3Rooker all around 4/5lb,3 Tomys and a few Whiting not bad for a few hours pleasure angling.
Friday and i for warned the party that we might cancel due to east winds that were chargeing around but they were pretty happy with my decision that i would take them round the corner off the claremont as it was the only place in these conditions we stuck it out till 14.00 with two of the lads not feeling to good but they done ok concidering the conditions (like being in a washing machine) they had 2 nice Cod both 45cm and 30 plus Whiting with 10 take home ,well done you boys and look forward to seeing you all again lets hope the weather is on our side.

  • 11/2014 Fishing Report by Lyle Stantiford on Supanova II (Weymouth, Dorset)

    Nov 2014 by Lyle Stantiford

    Report on-board Supanova II

Well the weather has started to become a bit of a pain with a high number of trips being cancelled. But then again it is the norm for this time of year.

When we have been out when the weather has let us the main focus has been bass with some amazing catches and other hard ground results. Good numbers of Whiting are starting to feature along with the odd Cod, conger, blonde, undulate and Spotted rays have made things variable. The shock has been the late staying bream, it is December next week and as recently as yesterday we were catching bream in numbers like the summer!!!

A few trips left for the year now and we will be operating between christmas and New Year so if you fancy a day away from it all then gives us a shout.

Thanks to all for their continued support to Weymouth as ever.

    Lyle

  • 11/2014 Fishing Report by Gethyn Owen on My Way 2 (Holyhead, Isle of Anglesey)

    Nov 2014 by Gethyn Owen

    Report on-board My Way 2

Some settled weather over a couple days and we managed to sneak out into Holyhead bay. Fishing was fairly consistent for the time of year with a plentiful supply of dogs, whiting and huss at anchor with the odd ray, codling and other species to bump up the numbers. On the drift we had some good action with pollack, wrasse and coalfish again, both ranging between 1 and 3lb in weight together with a few small herring too.
    Great enjoyable weekend afloat

  • 25/11/2014 Fishing Report by Rich Ward on Shy-Torque III (Whitby, North Yorkshire)

25 Nov 2014 by Rich Ward

    Report on-board Shy-Torque III

Had my brother in law aboard today with some friends. We spent the day inshore uptide fishing with some reasonable results.
Perfect weather for the trip too. More like summer than winter!
The lads gathered around 50 codling between them. Best bag going to Steve Smith with 10 fish.
Best fish fell to Paul Lonsdale with a codling of 5lb 9oz.
Fishing offshore is producing well too. If you fancy a run off any time over the winter I will sail with 3 anglers for uptiding and 4 anglers for an offshore trip.
    Cheers and tight lines
    Rich.

  • 23/11/2014 Fishing Report by jon old on High Flyer 2 (Great Yarmouth, Norfolk)

23 Nov 2014 by jon old

    Report on-board High Flyer 2

This report covers weekend of 22/23 Nov, much of the same at the moment still plagued with whiting most of the while few decent ones among them. On Saturday the start of new moon the codling were bit shy on the bite to start from normal, ended up with few keepers as most people putting the small fish back even though in size. well done lads. Pictured here is Panky first time on the Flyer with our only roker of the day returned as well nice to see some conservation going on. Few nice flatties came aboard few pouting and some small doggies. On Sunday mostly the same more codling to show, ended up on the four miler mark the unfortunate weather of constant rain ruined the day really big thanks to the lads for sticking it was not good! Have had a few frosts early this week hopefully winter might set in soon god knows we need the cold , only benefit is were still got chance of skate inshore so will probably target a few with our fresh herrings would ask you throw females back please men at this late stage plus commercial ban on now. Anyone interested in a party of herring fishing using drift nets please get in touch as few about now no sprats as yet , come and get dirty and use those arm muscles! Weekends before xmas getting fuller now but still dates left website should be up to date or please ring. Tight lines everyone. Jon. High Flyer.

  • 25/11/2014 Fishing Report by Nick Gough on Skylark (Scarborough, North Yorkshire)

25 Nov 2014 by Nick Gough

    Report on-board Skylark

A very Pleasant and relaxing trip today up tiding and down tiding inshore today.

The lads had bites most of the day but baits were getting hammered in no time by smaller fish and lobsters.

The lads did manage to get a couple of lobster to the surface but unfortunately thy were not size, they did how ever get a good amount of cod today only showing half what was caught in the photo. As well as a good selection of Pollock wrasse and Coalie.

a great set of lads and i am lucking forward to your next trip.
