Some cracking fishing over the last few days aboard the Shy-Torque. Intermittent activity still on the inshore marks but the offshore areas still producing much better. The lads on Friday were a mixed group.
We tried the ground on the 9 mile for starters with just 1 Whiting for a couple of drifts. Offshore it was then (again)
The lads were well happy with the result at the end of the day with a total count of 90 fish. Mixed Cod and Ling with a couple of Haddock thrown in too!!
The lads decided at the start of the day that a sweep was in order at £5.00 entry per man.
The winner of the £60.00 was young Kyle Lawlor from Rotherham with a cod of 8lb 3oz.. He was a very happy young man!!!
Kyle is pictured. Well done mate!!!UPCOMING INDIVIDUAL SPACES ONBOARD Shy-Torque III

We all caught plenty of fish, and Colin was excellent at putting us on the fish and had loads of patients with the lads who had no idea.
He showed them how to set up and bait up.I set out to catch a conger as I never have had one, with coloins help I achieved this, plus a monster that got away (it must have been 70lb aye Colin :-) . In all seriousness, a top boat top skipper and will be booking again so brush up on your sign language Colin!
Reef fishing, 8 species caught. Highly recommended! Listen to him and you'll not go wrong. Get your trip booked with him.
A big thanks from Steve the lads and the orangutan. -
