  • 11/05/2013 Fishing Report by Rich Cope on Mistress (Whitby, North Yorkshire)

11 May 2013 by Rich Cope

    Report on-board Mistress

This weekend was a bit shabby weather wise and a bit lumpy!

Regardless of conditions we were rewarded with some better fishing closer to shore than we have been working.

We saw a mixture of Cod, Ling and Pollock, caught on lures and bait.

The best fish this weekend was a cracking Pollock well into double figures for Brian,

The water is clearing by the day now, and we have hopefully seen the last of the algae,

Pictured is Brian with is Pollock

    Report on-board Ebony May

Sunday 12th May weather cold and wet sea lively, small trip with only three concentrated on the inshore marks, the inevitable dog fish plus some large smooth hounds, bull huss and one tope. No mackerel showing yet to any extent but they must be very close. Weather looks poor til Thursday, hopefully we can get out and have another crack at them.
